What Happened to America?

What happened to America, from sea to shining sea?
What America is today, is not what America use to be.

One nation under God, was part of what we said each day at school
That was also back when we were taught, about the golden rule.

A prayer was also said at school, to get us going through the day,
And another one at night, as we knelt beside our bed and prayed

Our children once taught abstinence, where now safe sex is taught
While the fight against sexual disease, is continually being lost.

Our nation’s flag was raised each day with pride and with concern.
What people gave there lives for, can now be trampled on and burned.

America the nation, where the majority, made the laws that rule
Is now a nation where our laws are changed, by the voice of just a few.

What happened to America, I think it’s plain to see
Why America today, “Is Not” what America use to be.

Godly people, not denominations, need to unite and make a stand,
And put God back in our government & schools and pray, He’ll heal our land.
