When it comes to the subject of the Anti-Christ, this topic has always been a highly debatable question or issue to discuss. One such question that has been brought up is exactly where can it be expected for the Anti-Christ to originate from? Well, the answer to this question can be found in the book of Daniel in the Bible. Now, you will read about the he-goat (Dan. 8:5-26), which symbolizes the Grecian Empire. Also, this he-goat is the same as the brass in the image of Dan. 2 and the leopard in Dan 7. We read in the Bible, "And as I was considering, behold, a he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes." (Dan. 8:5) Now, this notable horn between the eyes of the he-goat represents the first king, or Alexander the Great. "Therefore the he-goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven." (Dan. 8:8) The meaning that the notable horn was broken is the death of Alexander the Great, and in its place there came up four notable ones, horns, toward the four winds of Heaven. This represents the division of the Grecian Empire into four different parts. What were the four divisions of Greece? The book of Daniel predicted that the Grecian Empire would be divided into four different parts, in which this was fulfilled after Alexander the Great had died. When this happened, four of Alexander's generals took control of his empire. Now the mighty empire of Alexander the Great consisted of the following: 1. Cassander controlled Greece and Macedon. 2. Lysimachus controlled Asia Minor or present Turkey and Trace. 3. Seleucus controlled all the eastern parts of the Grecian empire, which included the modern states of Syria, Iraq, and Iran. 4. Ptolemy controlled the kingdom of Egypt. Here is an important note, all of these divisions with the exception of the extreme eastern part of the kingdom of Seleucus were defeated by the Romans and they became a part of the old Roman Empire. These four divisions of Greece will become four of the ten kingdoms that will be formed inside the old Roman Empire in the last days. Also, these four kingdoms under the control of the Grecian generals will not be as powerful as was Alexander the Great. Now, here is when things become interesting. Daniel saw the "little horn" coming out of the four divisions of the Grecian Empire (Dan. 8:8-9, 21-23). Also, we have mentioned that these four divisions are known today as Greece, Turkey, Syria, and Egypt. In Dan. 7 you will read about the Anti-Christ coming from the ten kingdoms inside the Roman Empire. If we did not have the vision of Dan. 8 we could suspect or believe that this Anti-Christ could come from Europe or some other part of the old Roman Empire outside of the four divisions of the Grecian Empire. However, since we have in Daniel 8 the narrowing down of the Anti-Christ from ten kingdoms to four of the ten and definitely limiting the Anti-Christ to come from either Greece, Turkey, Syria, or Egypt, we must limit or at least come to the conclusion of his coming from one of these four countries. Therefore, if the Anti-Christ is to come from one of these four countries, either Greece, Turkey, Syria, or Egypt, then it is known for sure that he can not come from Europe, the Vatican, America, Russia, or from any other country in the world, as many have been indicating for many years. Lastly, this much is for sure, no man will know who the Anti-Christ will be for he has not yet come and can not come until after the ten kingdoms are formed, which will be inside the Roman Empire. But, the Bible does indicate what area of the world the Anti-Christ will arise from.
